I have experienced how quickly videos upload & are ready. I cannot say that about YouTube, which renders videos like crap & it is slow.

I Don't Get This But

A Local, as in Forest Hills, Queens Based Knights of Columbus Council Free Throw Basketball Championship Competition, is receiving mostly Canadian Viewers. What happened to all those Queens Based Viewers?
Sometimes I forget that this isn't Public Access Cable Television, but rather the World of The New Media. Viewers pop in from any part of The World. Much of our Overseas Viewership is in Israel & Europe on YouTube. So the Definition of Neighborhood has changed from around the corner & across the street, to across the border & across oceans.
The "Neighborhood" is available at a click of a mouse or by tapping a phone app.
And they take the K of C Free Throw in Canada, about as seriously as Canadians take Hockey & The CFL.
This Neighbourhood is pretty interesting, Eh. The Country covered by CBC, CTV & Global is watching a little local competition, produced on an iPod Touch 4G.
Enjoy it as much, as I have enjoyed bringing it to You.
PS: We know that we'll have made it Big Time when Rex says something about it.

Taking out the Divisive Separatist Parti Québécois, is an amazing, Historical Feat, in the World Of Canadian Politics. Replacing the Canadian Liberal Party, as the Official Opposition Party, is a huge thing by itself.
Jack stuck to his principles, unto the end. & from this Yank, he will be missed.
As by order of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, he who reorganized the Canadian Conservatives more along the lines of a "Tea Party", considering that the Party was called by the Oxymoron, "Progressive Conservatives", comparable to Moderate Republicans in the United States, Jack Layton will have a State Funeral in Toronto this Saturday.

Let's just say, as Executive Producer of Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship Coverage, on 5 Competitions, that I was fed up with the Histrionics. My suggestion to these Whiners in East Glendale & Middle Village in The Borough Of Queens in New York, is, Quite-Simply, "Get A Life", as YouTube #s aren't everything they are cracked up to be. Come to think of it, hardly anyone watched The K of C Free Throw Coverage in your neighborhood in Queens on YouTube. The Ones who bragged that only YouTube #s are important, did almost none of the promoting of the coverage.
But, for a competition played in the Shadow of The West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, onetime home of The US Open, the Knights Of Columbus International Free Throw Basketball Championship did draw Excellent #s on YouTube from Neighbours. In fact those Neighbours are Next Door.
Next Door Neighbours who share the Most Un-Militarized Border in The World, watched this local Queens Competition, comprising 75% of viewership.
Thank You, Canada, for you thought to watch this Local Competition, in far greater #s, than the Whiners could ever imagine, from Newfoundland To The Vancouver Islands. The #s For K of C Int'l Free Throw On YouTube Have Been Adjusted

And they needed to be adjusted. And some people need to get a life. Bogus Viewing #s have been detected during the 2011 Coverage of the Council 5103 Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship, by reviewing the YouTube Viewing #s, which rose & dropped precipitously.
You see, when someone has 99 views in one competition, the #s shouldn't drop to only 5 viewers in the next round. This pattern became apparent when it involved people in two parishes. Only two sets of Coverage retained what appeared to be legitimate viewing #s. The Super Sizers appeared to have extremely low #s by the District Coverage Round. One Family had the gall to do Stats Padding in the District Coverage Round as well as the Council Round.
In the Preliminary Round, there was only 59 Viewers, but at least they are real views. Total legitimate views amounted to 80 in the Council Round, not the nearly 500 views which were clicked. All of those oversized views came from 3 Days of Clucking. Total Legitimate views for the District Round, came out to be 96 Views. Only 75 Views showed up for Long island Championship. This actually brings the total YouTube Viewership Totals to 310 viewers. YouTube Coverage was a complete waste of time, but those videos were imported by iVideo.ie, where viewership reached record levels.
Basically,,YouTube is a waste of time. There are much better Video Sharing Networks out there. And there are many viewers on those networks. And those Networks are vastly superior to YouTube, which is a pile of Junk.

In fact for The Council Round, the ONLY Legitimate #s belong to the Early 1st Round & the 14 Girls Competition, while all the other #s were doctored upward with 3 Days of Clicking by various Family Members.
Lauren Longstreet has Legitimate #s across all of the Networks. She is The 14 Girls Queens County Champion.
Kayla Petrowiecz had excellent #s on 1st Time Network, blip.tv.
Jason Camus is the Rockstar of the coverage on Vimeo.com, with many European Viewers. Lauren Longstreet had large #s of viewers on Vimeo in Germany.
The Real Viewer #s for Council Round Coverage is 120 & Not 461. For District Round, it is 100. Ditto for LI Championship. Overall #s are below 400, proving that You Tube #s are often bogus & contrived by those who will resort to bogus tactics to look good & force their way. If you must know, the real # is 335 Viewers of YouTube. The YouTube Videos did draw for iVideo.ie, but not on YouTube itself.
Hence, YouTube Coverage will be used but not for all rounds except for the real purpose of placing those videos on iVideo.ie, where the real viewers in Europe are watching, in huge #s. That is the ONLY time YouTube will carry Free Throw Coverage. Other than that, YouTube is a huge waste of time.

Funny, But YouTube #s Don't Impress Me

When The Council 5103 Knights Of Columbus Viewing #s came out, I was pleased with the Number of Viewers on blip.tv, DailyMotion.com & Vimeo.com. The fact is that new audiences for the K of C Free Throw can be had without putting all of these competitions on YouTube.
The trouble with the YouTube #s is that while the Council Competition had huge #s, a 70% drop by the next round in viewers, precipitated the carriage of the Queens County Championship exclusively on DailyMotion.com. There was also evidence of audience fudging by certain parents in East Glendale & Middle Village, which did not give a true audience. This is WHY YouTube carriage will be limited to The Long Island Final, as part of a team of Video Sharing Services. And YouTube is basically being used as upload app for Ireland's iVideo.ie, where the real viewers are.

From what I Gather from my conversations with Low Budget Producers, Vimeo.com is most often their choice to exhibit their works.

It is my Primary Choice. It is a Great Place to SHOW The World that you are NOT just another "YouTube Toady." After all, I had the Utter Nerve to place The 2011 Coverage of The Long Island Championship Coverage of The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship onto something other than YouTube. And Vimeo was 1st Choice When The iPhone App came into being.

This Action did please the Chairman Of The Long Island Championship Final of The Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship. That Competition received good viewing #s overseas & in Nassau, Suffolk & Kings Counties, both on Vimeo.com & DailyMotion.com, with Vimeo giving for good overseas #s. The ONLY County viewing YouTube was in Queens, most likely in East Glendale & Middle Village. Plus, some Queens District Deputies were looking for YouTube. It is a reflexive response, as many Americans think that YouTube is the Only Show In Town.

I Think That "Pages" Is Next For iPod Touch

I have a script which I would just like to make into a "Mockumentary" Web Series. Think of it as a "Snarkumentary".
Someone produces a dark comedy web series, raises funds & pisses everybody off, running around, trying to confuse everybody involved.
"Pages" for iPhone would be just perfect since within iWork Pages is a script mode.
And THAT would be perfect for a project of mine, called "The Making Of Fringe Soup-The Unmasking Of Cheyenne Laperriere."
Then, it would be submitted for "Kickstarter" Funding.

"Gods Behaving Badly" Update

Final Scenes shot overnight at Snug Harbor Cultural Centre in West Brighton, in Staten Island.
I am exhausted. Of all the Movie & TV Sets I have ever worked on, the Best is a tie between the Indie Film "The Normals" & Onion Sports Network's "SportsDome,"

To say this about the 4 Nights:
4 Nights of Work were interesting, as the 1st 2 Nights there was nothing to do. The 3rd Night had some scenes filmed.

Last night into early yesterday morning, I worked wearing a green blanket. It was an intense night. Several scenes filmed. Supposedly, the "Gods" shut off the Sun. Then the Sun was turned back on.

When I got home, I went to bed. I got up once at 2PM. Then fell off until 6:30PM. Then I fell off until 12:30AM.

I noticed that little to no coffee was served. That sucked. Operating with no caffeine was exhausting.

I had a better time doing "The Comedy", an ultra low budget film, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At least there was Coffee.

Imagine Playing A Boss Hiring An Assassin

I got to do just that in a funny little film, appearing on YouTube, called "Casey Carr & Riley Joe: Brothers Forever", produced by a promising young director named Diane Forman, originally from the Hudson Valley, not far from Albany, in Upstate NY.
Currently, she lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, not far from Prospect Park & goes to Filmmaking School at Brooklyn College, in Midwood, Brooklyn.
I played a loud, abrasive man named Cord Elam. I was originally going to do this role in a Slow, Southern Drawl, but was told to do it in a Brooklyn Accent.
The Brooklyn Accent is easy for me, as I used to speak it at home. I don't usually speak that way anymore, except with Native Brooklynites.
The Trick to sounding like a Native is to leave out consonants in words. "Atlantic Avenue" is "Alannic Avenya" to Natives. "Flatbush Avenue" is "Flabush". "Bedford Avenue" is pronounced "Befid" & so on.
Another way of sounding like a Bona Fide Native, is to use the old time names of the Subway Lines. Never mind just the #s or letters of Subway Lines, as it sounds like you're from Boston(I do like The Red Sox, BTW). Go all out & say things like The IRT Lexington Avenue-Woodlawn to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium. When telling this to Red Sox or Mets Fans, refer to Yankee Stadium as "The Toilet."
For Coney Island, it's "Take The BMT Brighton Line to Coney Island-Stlllwell Avenya."(Ditto, Sea Beach Line).
Of course, when taking the A Train, tell people to take the "8th Avenya Subway."
I have ya tawkin' like a natif in no time.

I am working as a background actor in "Gods Behaving Badly", where a group of Greek Gods, share a Brownstone House here in NYC.
Then again, these gods cannot walk on water, either. These "Gods" are facing mortality & create havoc by shutting off the Sun.
Our God Is Immortal in Three Persons, Father, Son & Holy Spirit. God does NOT play tricks like these "Gods" do. One "God" is Hades & he actually represents Evil, namely, Satan.

Spotted Some Sign Of Encouragement

Someone under the DailyMotion Name of "Joerocketmail", put together a nice little video about a Knights Of Columbus Sponsored Track Meet in Delaware County, PA, in 2010.
The fact that Joerocketmail posted that Video on DailyMotion, is a sign that not every Knights Of Columbus Sponsored Sporting Event, goes onto YouTube.
It is a good thing to know that I am not alone in putting a K of C Sporting Event on DailyMotion. In fact, it is on DailyMotion.com, that our best REAL #s for Free Throw Views, are on DailyMotion. The Higher #s on YouTube are as a result of Contestants & Parents doing multiple clicks over a 3 day period of time, just for 1 Round, to force continued carriage of the competitions on YouTube.
But, the #s on DailyMotion are very close to the #s on YouTube, without all the parental manipulation.
So DailyMotion actually leads YouTube in terms of real views. Real Views on YouTube are 398. All that numerical manipulation caused for all coverage to be delayed until the 2012 Long Island Final Coverage. DailyMotion #s are 843.
The ONLY YouTube Coverage #s which are moving upward is The Council Contest Coverage #s. If those #s are all in the USA, chances are that the videos are being viewed again in East Glendale & Middle Village in Queens. Last time this was checked, it was all USA #s.
DailyMotion & Vimeo draw all kinds of #s such as overseas & USA, which makes for a good mix of viewers.
Joerocketmail? You did well to put that video on DailyMotion, hence one notices your video. I noticed it this evening & the Video looks fine.

Are picking up on YouTube. But, DailyMotion is poised to pass YouTube any day now.
To all these people who have never heard of DailyMotion, it is ONLY the 2nd Largest Video Sharing Site in The World. It is an Artistic & Public Video Sharing Site. Video quality is better than YouTube. This site is huge outside of France, where it is based.
The Preliminary & Council Rounds will be carried on Dailymotion.com, to me a superior choice, over the overused YouTube.

Off To An Overnighter In Staten Island

Actually, 5 Nights but I get to go home, as the film, "Gods Behaving Badly" is in Production here. Supposedly, the Sun goes out & it is supposed to be 40•F(4•C) outside.
There, however is a chance of storms in the area today.
Oh, well, Movies are about pretending & in reality, the Greek Gods were mythical figures.
None of them could walk on water.

Too Much YouTube-Not Good

In fact, just about every K of C Free Throw Competition known to appear on YouTube, basically have one thing in common & that is lower than average #s. Why is that? It is because there are so many competitions on the one service, which tend to only draw from a particular geographical area(like Nova Scotia in Canada or Hoboken, New Jersey).
It was only in 2011, when this International Competition appeared on a service other than YouTube. DailyMotion.com carried coverage for the 1st Time in 2011, as did blip.tv & Vimeo.com & all drew very nice #s. Even a service in Ireland called iVideo.ie carried coverage, imported from YouTube.com.
Hence the coverage is no longer a mere exhibition on the World's Most Popular Service. There are viewers who would eschew YouTube at the drop of a hat. If DailyMotion was any indication, viewers were only too glad to view this North American Novelty, on a far less cluttered service. DailyMotion Coverage was seen on the websites of the RTL Group in Belgium, France & Netherlands. DailyMotion Coverage was also seen on a site in Albania. Europeans made up for the lack of American Viewers, in the Queens County 2011 Final, from Astoria in Queens, NY. In the Queens NY District Competition, seen over RTL.be site, DailyMotion was the service carrying coverage, not YouTube. Stats also showed that DailyMotion outdrew YouTube by over 2/1.
Viddler is an incredibly easy & speedy upload but people were loathe to watch it.
Vimeo proved to be a great coverage site for the Long Island Championship Final along with Dailymotion. #s were great on both sites. Both sites are rather uncluttered.
Unless a child can sing some pop song, forget YouTube. My production group found that blip.tv is also a great site for K of C Free Throw Coverage as it is show oriented & uncluttered. You don't need YouTube for good #s. The viewers are there. Many just don't like viewing coverage on a cluttered site.

K of C Free Throw Coverage was heavily viewed on that service, hence why YouTube has returned, if only for iVideo.ie to carry the Long Island Championship Final from East Elmhurst, Queens, NY.

This is what I call Sports Talk Radio. The World of WEEI & WFAN, is a world of Jabber Jockeys & Callers, who exchange questions & answers, many of them making no sense, whatsoever.
I have the WEEI App & do tune into them. Dennis & Callahan is a show sometimes noted for off Colour remarks by Gerry Callahan(Metco Gorillas to describe Blacks in an Education Program). Callers discuss the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, Etcetera.
An interesting feature on the station is the "Whine Line", loaded with highlights of whiny, idiotic callers.
Then there is WFAN SportsRadio 660, now located in SoHo. New Englanders in Boston & Providence, call "The FAN", when 'EEI is in syndicated programming. But the NY area callers are a bunch of a--h-les. These people think of themselves as Grandstand General Managers. Mets & Yankees Fans whine, especially Yankees Fans.
And you wonder why I call these two stations "The Institutes For The Intellectually Challenged"! Just listen to either station & you will know what I mean.

I have been opening my WordPress App & now I like working on my WordPress blog. I can even do it from Posterous, but I do like the feature called QuickPress, where I can write a quick article or two.
WordPress takes some getting used to but I like it a lot.
It looks to be my main blog, followed by tumblr.

Further Along On Civil Servants

You get sent to be a Lead Investigator, in The Investigation of Games Of Chance & Bingo. You discover that so much is corrupted, unto the point where legitimate organizations are pushed out by various professionals, who use organizational paper as cover for their own profit.
But, not all of the answers are inside the city of occurrence. Real investigation involves going to adjoining counties and towns for answers. In an instance of heading to Oakdale, on the South Shore of Suffolk County, New York, I interviewed a Rabbi, a Suffolk County Police Department Chaplain. Questions were asked about two Brooklyn Based Rabbis & a School they were supposedly running.. This SCPD Chaplain said that his son was studying to be a Rabbi, under the 2 Brooklyn Rabbis Tutelage. The Two Brooklyn Rabbis claimed to run a School in The Parkchester Section of The East Bronx.
The only thing going on was a mail drop, No School existed at all. The paper existed in order to support a yeshiva at Beth Aaron Synagogue on Coyle Street in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, which already had a Bingo License.
Another Thing was that Suffolk County Vice Squad was wondering just who was putting the kabosh on their investigation into funny practices, I passed on info to NYPD's Organized Crime Control Bureau, who in turn, notified SCPD Vice. Sure as s--t, it was the same SCPD Chaplain involved with the two Brooklyn Rabbis.

Some Apps Are More Valuable Than Others

Posterous is a great app, linking Text, Photo & Video to various sites.
tumblr is a great app for community & local blogging. Also uploads to blip.tv.
Up2blip uploads videos directly to blip.tv & can link blip.tv to Facebook.
Vimeo App is really good in that one can make a film & edit it, followed by direct upload to Vimeo.com. These videos can be downloaded & then uploaded again to blip.tv, Viddler.com, DailyMotion & YouTube, as well as uploaded to Vimeo & exported on Posterous.com to multiple services.
Note: If you have a WordPress blog, I highly recommend Posterous for the cross-posting ability. It even cross-posts with Blogger.

WordPress seems to be all the latest blogging rage, though it takes getting used to. But, from this app, I can send my posts over to both Blogger & WordPress, as well as tumblr.
Just did a Network Test for the 2012 K of C Int'l Free Throw Coverage, to be carried on blip.tv, Vimeo.com, & iVideo.ie. But for iVideo.ie, a feed to YouTube has to be accomplished. When that is done, I sign into iVideo.ie & import the YouTube Feed.
But, prior to that, the YouTube hook ins with Blogger, Facebook & Twitter will be severed, as YouTube is only being used as the feeder app for iVideo.ie, which will be fed to Facebook & Twitter. This is only for coverage of the Long Island Final of the Knights Of Columbus Int'l Free Throw Basketball Championship.

For a number of years, video sharing was only for bigger organizations. Today, there are video sharing sites.
Really, the 1st Public Video Sharing Site is Vimeo, coming online in November, 2004. Then, YouTube, DailyMotion & blip.tv came about in 2005. YouTube became The Home of Video Pirates & Assorted A--H-l-S, one acting dumber than the other.
Dailymotion's Standards are higher & is now attracting a more educated set of film enthusiasts. blip.tv is for independent show creators. Vimeo promotes creativity.
Yet, with all of its' idiotic programming, there is good programming on YouTube, though it is harder to find there & not always noticed.
Hence, why I am loathe to publish K of C Free Throw Coverage there, is why I prefer Vimeo, DailyMotion & blip.tv, as well as the experience of self serving "Soccer Moms" & their Charges, who NEED YouTube #s for Self Esteem.
Just the fact that Vimeo.com, blip.tv & DailyMotion.com do provide for excellent, intelligent audiences, why do the "Self Servers" need YouTube #s, is beyond understanding, except that this is for a sense of community standing. But, it is time to get past the infantile wants & enjoy the exhibition of a competition, without catfights over whose YouTube #s are greater.
It will make for a more-civil society.

Played a Doctor in "The Plan". I portrayed his patient. We conversed in one scene, with a woman moving down the hall, which made for more realism, than just walking across a hallway.
Greg talked of missing the Brooklyn Dodgers, who used to play at Ebbets Field, about 1 Half Mile north of Kings County Hospital. I spoke about Robert Moses Role in this move.

Kings County Hospital Is An Interesting Movie Set

Building A at 451 Clarkson Avenue in East Flatbush, has empty floors, used only for such Dire Emergencies as a Plane Crash or something as drastic as WTC on 09/11/11.
But, it is mostly used for Movie & TV Filming.
Today, a short Film Festival Type Independent Film was being made in Building A on the 4th Floor. The Film is called "The Plan", involving a woman in the music industry, who visits her friend in hospital.
It was an interesting shoot. Talk to you later.

Interesting Note Today In Filming

The Set Photographer, Marcina, A Lovely Young Mexicana Woman, was using a Canon Camera,,taking still photos of the cast members. For whatever reason, I was her favorite photographic subject.
I was photographed in Hospital Gown, Jacket & Red Sox Cap with Mets Shirt, even in white shorts & white shirt. I enjoyed this very much.
Someone remarked that I looked the part of a "Williamsburg Hipster." Williamsburg is said to be the creative centre of Brooklyn, though I somewhat lean towards Prospect Park in that regard. I, however, was born in Bushwick, just next door to Williamsburg & grew up in Cypress Hills, so I am a North Brooklynite. Yet my really good roles are in South & Central Brooklyn.

Another Round Of Yankees-Red Sox

The Worst Part About All of this series, may be the "Pitching" of John Lackey, not a favorite of mine.
The 2nd not so nice thing is that The Friday Night Game will be torture for Red Sox Nation in NYC. The Nation will be left listening to the Massively Torturous Michael Kay, who calls the games on the YES Network, referred to officially as the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network. Kay sounds like some guy with a howitzer put to his head by some member of the Steinbrenner Family. Red Sox Fans in NY, derisively refer to YES as Yankees Entertainment SUCKS.
On Saturday, the Game is on FOX, with the game called by Joe "Do I Not Love Me " Buck & that "Sophocles Of The Diamond", Tim Mc Carver, noted for being not a town crier, but more of a "Village Idiot." But Tim can be entertaining as during the 2009 World Series, he actually got Derek Jeter's name wrong(Jerek Deter). This is from a guy who mention Jeter's name 17+ times in a game not even involving the Yankees. Go Figure!
Sunday Night is ESPN, & Joe Morgan is no longer confusing audiences.
I think you get the picture of what is going on this weekend.

Adding a touch of class by Webcasting on DailyMotion is a great idea as it is the World's 2nd Largest Video Sharing Service. It is not cluttered like YouTube is & has better technical quality than YouTube.
+There were more real views on DailyMotion as original programming, without parents & children clicking views traceable to 3 Families.
A lot of big producers do post their videos on DailyMotion. Good videos permeate there.

American Culture once romanticized The Cowboy.
Now it romanticizes quick, idiotic clips on YouTube, for the Lowest Common Denominator of Audience. A Whiney 6 Year Old, whose life is fucked up & he needs his "Meds", the way a crack whore needs her smokable Cocaine. And people laugh at this, which tells me a lot about the World of the Lowest Common Denominator. Of course, their are people whose attention span is only 3 Minutes or less, which is WHY YouTube is perfect for mindless "Entertainment."
I have to admit that despite his coarseness of humor, Shane Dawson may just be the epitome of Satire on YouTube.
He just wails into shows of mindlessness, like "Fred" & Popular Culture.
However, my favorite Commenter of all things cultural on YouTube(& Dailymotion, BTW), is Canadian. The Redoubtable Robert Rex Raphael Murphy, known as Rex Murphy, elegantly with Snark, rips into what is wrong in Society("It's Rape, but it is not Rape-Rape", as he ripped into Whoopi Goldberg on "The View", in regards to Roman Polanski, facing American Justice, because of his act of statutory rape with a 13 Year Old Girl, 30 Years Ago). Describing Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlescionni's Dalliances with "Over Priced, Underage Horizontals", made Rex a favorite of mine, in the Snark Department.
John Kingman & Clara Peterson, addressed a problem with Counterfeiters in producing "Hustlas", a Television Pilot, & did so with humor & a touch of "X Files" thrown in. This wasn't good enough for various television people, who believe that ONLY the LCD(Lowest Common Denominator) must be served.
"I Want My Meds", sounds sadly like the "New Entertainment." It SUCKS!

A story about a conniving web series producer, would be fine for these times. Hiding the product, then releasing it without telling anybody, including the director, makes for a wild goose chase of epic proportions. Having the honor of working with Innovative Directors, gave me insight into why they make use of Vimeo.com & DailyMotion.com. On both services, their works do shine.
But, the key to the success of the various YouTube Shows is collaboration & mockery. Shane Dawson mocks the crap out of "Fred", & is quite entertaining in his own right. Often, the mockery is better than the Original Program.
